What makes a useful submission
Send a concise description of what happened, where and when it occurred, who is responsible and why the matter is important to readers. Include the names of relevant projects, organisations and decision-makers, together with documents or public links that can help the newsroom verify the information.
Clearly separate what you observed yourself from what another person told you. Do not alter original documents or photographs. Explain any personal, commercial or political interest you have in the subject.
Submission does not guarantee publication. The newsroom may contact you for clarification, seek responses from affected parties and independently verify the material before deciding whether to report it.
